Noosaaahh...

We have just arrived home after spending a week at Noosa for a wedding.  We haven't had the pleasure of staying at Noosa for many years so we were surprised at how fast it has grown!  Hastings Street, where we stayed at Bella Casa Apartments, is extremely busy - especially on weekends. But thank goodness weekdays were much quieter.
We spent many hours walking the National Park path that meanders around the headland between Noosa Main Beach and Sunshine Beach, and lazing on the beach or bobbing around in the ocean.  One day we drove to the Maleny/Montville area and another day we made the two hour journey to our sons place at Gundiah.
My mum joined us for the week and it was very special to be able to enjoy her company.  Mum is 81 in a couple of months and is still quite active.  Good work Mum!  We all met up at the Brisbane Airport where we picked up a hire car.  Mum arrived by bus from Toowoomba and returned the same way.  It's a really great service.
The wedding we were invited too was the youngest son of our very dear friends Lynn and Jack.  It was a beautiful wedding held in a very romantic place.  The wedding ceremony was laid back and so refreshing.  Words spoken were spoken from the heart and we truly felt the love between the bride and groom.  The only thing that probably spoilt it a tiny little bit for the bride was that it was such a windy day and her beautiful blonde curly hair was almost straight by the end of the ceremony!
The wedding was a canapé wedding at the famous Bistro C restaurant in the heart of Hastings Street. We ate, danced and drank the night away.  I don't think I've enjoyed myself more at a wedding.  I certainly have never danced so much!
Here are a few photos from the week.
